Matthew Green

Matthew Green is the Group Head of Equipment Finance
at CIBC, where he is responsible for establishing the strategic vision and corporate partnership across all lines of business. Matthew previously managed a team of originators in the Midwest and Northeast as well as the Capital Markets team. Prior to his role in Equipment Finance, Matthew was the Group Head of Syndications at JP Morgan and co-founder of the Middle Market focused Syndicated Finance Group within J.P. Morgan’s Commercial Bank. He was responsible for originating, structuring, pricing, and syndicating bank and institutional loans for middle market clients. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 2011, Matthew held numerous capital markets and distressed asset positions within BMO Capital Markets (Bank of Montreal). Most notably, Matthew was part of BMO Capital Markel's Distressed Asset Group where his team was responsible for analyzing the risk associated with the firm's troubled credit portfolio during the Great Recession. Matthew has over 18 years of experience in leasing, lending, portfolio management and debt capital markets.

Matthew holds a B.S. from DePaul University, where he majored in Finance and Marketing. He resides in Wheaton, Illinois with his wife Sarah and five children.
